Introduction to Communications offers a survey of everyday as well as formal communication principles and contexts. Topics include the history of communication as an academic discipline, communication as identity and relationship construction, nonverbal communication and listening, communication media and technology, and communication in a variety of interpersonal, familial, group, and workplace settings.

Introduction to Communications offers a very general overview of the communications field. Topics include the history of communication, verbal/nonverbal communication, super communicators, communication in a variety of settings, and communication media and technology. Students will also get hands-on learning with audio and camera equipment as well as learn how to use DaVinci Resolve 19.
